Why would I\u00a0 create a website about Samba?<\/span>
What does a white man from Italy\u00a0 knows about Brazil?\u00a0 About the Favela?
<\/span>
In 2026 I wrote a fictional novel called “The Divine Voice of the Favela”<\/span><\/p>\n

Actually I should say that it was not intentional writing, but it came as a channeling.<\/span><\/p>\n

The circumstances: as I had been accused of domestic violence by my Brazilian wife of 4 years, and had been robbed of all assets of the USA Brazil radio station I financed, I was quite devasted. <\/span><\/p>\n

At 71 years old, I just found myself asking: Am I a fool? And the answer came out loud and clear. YES! I asked my friends and all said: Yes, you are a fool.<\/span>

A disclaimer:\u00a0 Heli Paulino Souza Calvenzani is not from the Favela.\u00a0<\/span>
I am more of a favela guy, from the\u00a0 Caruggi” by the Genoa port of Italy. Where\u00a0 and when I dreamed of faraway lands.
<\/span>
I grew up amongst revolts in the streets, heroin killing my friends, political parties bombing innocent people,\u00a0 judges.<\/span><\/p>\n

That is why I feel close to the poor people, those who are the blood that make the city run. Samba is their Oxigen. God is in their heart. The Orixas are watching.<\/span><\/p>\n
